Dropped into Ocean Beach for a long walk down a high pier. Kelp to the left, surfers to the right and straight ahead some really good fish and chips. We were hungry so the food may have positively prejudiced our impressions of OB.
The town was a laid back California beach scene inundated by tourist and cars on a weekend morning. Yes we made the mistake of going to the beach in California on a weekend, we were tourists, we do stuff like that. Past the kitsch hawkers the beach reminded us that we were not in Wyoming anymore. If Ron and I were the only tourists there it would have been perfect. But alas there are a lot of refugees from snow and ice bound towns in California in the winter.
